Photography Careers, Competitive but Definitely Rewarding
Photography careers are highly appealing to those who are creative and technically proficient in photography. Technological advancement has allowed photographers to produce films into digital format. With digital formatting, photographers are able to better manipulate and edit these pictures depending on the needs of their client.
Some photographers choose to work in commercial fields, such as art galleries, newsroom, print or magazines. Other photography careers include industrial photography, public relations photography, scientific photography, advertising photography and others. Portrait photography involves taking pictures of people, as individuals or groups. Commercial photographers take pictures of different types of subjects, usually models and products. They produce pictures for advertising, media, book and other corporate use.
As you can guess, different types of photographers photograph different subjects. The subjects of an industrial photographer are usually buildings, machines and landscapes. Scientific photographers take pictures of images for scientific records, medical data or scientific procedures. Usually scientific photographers have knowledge in medicine, engineering, biology and chemistry. News photographers or photojournalists take pictures of newsworthy events, people and places. Other photography careers specialize in travel photographs, religious ceremonies, weddings and school photographs.
